Lest We Forget

Remembrance DayA few weeks ago, a friend of mine came to visit me. With her she brought some things of mine that my Mother had sent wtih her.
Recently, my mother sold the family home and moved into an apartment. Before doing so, she had saved some boxes for me. In these boxes was a ton of long-forgotten things such as notes from friends in Jr. High, drawings and postcards from my niece and this: a drawing that I had given my Grandfather for Remembrance Day.

My Grandfather

It’s not dated but I’m guessing that I had given this to him somewhere around the mid to late 1980s. When my aunt passed away in 1997, someone had found this drawing that she had saved after my Grandfather passed away in 1994.

Today, I’m remembering my Grandfather and the many Veterans who sacrificed their lives.

Lest We Forget.

Thanks for showing this to us … it’s always good to have little momentos that remind us of special people … I have a few myself!
