Hey Folks! I hope this blog post finds you all well. Sorry for the lack of posts on this end, but things have been pretty busy around here. With the warmer weather approaching, I can only imagine that it will get even busier. However, I’ve been sketching every now and then and even have a few things in progress.

I thought I would post this sketch. I know… I never post sketches. I don’t know why, but it’s something that I should get in a habit of doing. This sketch is of me when I was 4 or 5 years old. I was telling my husband about the time my Dad took my sister and I to the playground. I spotted some kids hanging upside down on the monkey bars and without even the slightest idea of how to do so, I gave it a go. Well, long story short, I landed on my face, knocking my two front teeth out. Even though memories of this day are scattered, I still remember making the attempt and then sitting in the car holding ice to my face. Fun times!

I may do a color and more detailed version of this one. Stay tuned.

I hope this week is being good to you!

Toofless Melinda sure is brave. I knocked my front teeth out as a kid, but I sure didn’t smile like that afterwards. Funny how I can still vividly remember the taste of blood and my raw gums that used to hold teeth!
